Silver alginate dressings
Askina® Calgitrol® AG patented matrix formulation combines calcium alginate and silver alginate with 10% of bonded water. In contact with exudate, the alginate matrix forms a soft gel allowing the liberation of
silver ions. Askina® Calgitrol® Ag is a technologically advanced wound dressing that incorporates the barrier effectiveness of ionic silver with the absorption capabilities of calcium alginate and polyurethane foam.

Hydrophilic foam dressings
Askina® Foam is a two layered non-adherent dressings made from:
✓ A soft breathable hydrophilic polyurethane foam layer and has a high fluid capacity (199g / 100 cm²)
✓ A thin , transparent and protective polyurethane film, which is waiter proof and bacteria resistant

Indication
Moderate to heavy exuding wounds:
✓ Stage I-IV pressure ulcers
✓ Venous and arterial leg ulcers
✓ Diabetic foot ulcers
✓ 1st and 2nd degree burns
✓ Traumatic wounds

Contraindication
Askina® Foam is contraindicated for:
✓ Ulcers resulting from infections, such as tuberculosis, syphilis, deep fungal infections
✓ Bites or third degree burns

In case of infections with inflammatory signs (temperature, oedema, redness, pain) contact proper medical authority. Resume the use of Askina® Foam when normal healing conditions have returned.

✓ Prontosan Wound Irrigation Solution and Prontosan Wound Gel may be used together or independently
✓ Two effective ingredients combined to maximize cleansing power: PHMBand Betaine
   ✓ PHMB (Polyhexanide) functions as a preservative (also found in contact lens solution) that inhibits the growth of microorganisms within the product
