Characteristics
Preparation Askina® Calgitrol Paste is a well shapeable paste with the same matrix of alginate with silver ions, which comprises flat dressings Askina Calgitrol Ag. The consistency of the paste allows close contact with the wound bed preparation and the active presence of silver ions and alginate, which is especially valuable in case of difficuly to treat wounds, such as:

✓ second-degree burns
✓ chronic wounds (e.g. “diabetic foot”)

Askina® Carbosorb is a sterile wound dressing to reduce wound odor. It is made up of a non-woven absorbent wound contact layer and an active carbon layer that is capable to take up the odor and to hold.

Polyurethane film dressing
Askina® Derm® is a sterile transparent polyurethane film dressing. It is semipermeable and suitable for the protection of newly formed skin. It also prevents the formation of scabs.

Indication

Applications:

• Fully soak the areas with Meliseptol
• Foam pure and rub with a wipe.
• Keep the surface wet until the exposure time has elapsed. Do not wipe the surface dry. For exposure time, see table. The areas must not be wiped dry.
